Leaves and needles that clog local gutters
Trees drop a continuous stream of debris that fills Nevada gutter systems throughout the year. The organic mix changes sharply across the state, ranging from high mountain needles and cone scales to desert shrub debris, fine seeds, and windblown pod clusters. Because the climate supports various evergreen and desert species, there is no single leaf-drop peak in the state. Trees shed needles, dry bark, and seed pods continuously rather than dropping leaves all at once during a short fall season. These light materials catch on interior brackets, trap blowing dust, and pack tightly inside every downspout, stopping proper drainage long before seasonal storms arrive.
