When Winder gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris year-round onto local roof slopes. Loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine shed thin needles every month, while broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop heavy leaves. Yellow pollen blankets roofs in spring, sweetgum balls drop in summer, and acorns fall alongside leaves as leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels completely open through changing weather.
