When Vinings gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, and loblolly pine, shed materials constantly. Pine needles drop all year, while sweetgum balls and acorns fall in fall. Broadleaf live oak leaf drop adds heavy debris, and yellow pollen packs into damp corners during spring. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Although freezing nights happen in Vinings, ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. Nevertheless, cold weather turns damp sludge into solid blockages. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear seasonal clutter before heavy Georgia rains strain your system.
