When Theodore gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region include broadleaf white oak, sweetgum, hickory, red maple, tulip poplar, along with conifers like loblolly pine and eastern red cedar. Pine needles, falling leaves, acorns, and thick spring pollen drop directly into open channels throughout different months of the year. Because freezing nights are rare here, ice dams do not form inside channels during cold months, but persistent rain keeps wet pine needles packed tight against the metal interior. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to handle heavy pollen coats in early months and thick pine needles or leaves before wet seasonal weather settles over the area.
