When Sheffield gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, such as broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, regularly deposit heavy debris on local roofs. Spring pollen and falling seeds drop early in the year, followed by heavy fall leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October, while pine needles shed continually. Winter brings freezing nights, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. However, trapped water can freeze, expanding inside joints and loosening structural fasteners. We recommend scheduling a gutter cleaning visit at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect your home.
