When Saks gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, drop heavy debris into roof channels. In spring, oak pollen and sweetgum drops build up inside the gutter system. By fall, dropping leaves peak around early November, mixing with sticky pine needles to create dense channel blockages. While freezing nights happen in Saks, snow is rare and ice dams are not an issue. Still, wet debris trapped in gutters before cold nights can cause severe sag. We recommend cleaning gutters at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect your home.
