When Paris gutters fill up
Local weather patterns in Paris create steady challenges for every home gutter system throughout the year. Broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and red maple trees are common in the region, dropping heavy spring pollen and dropping thick leaves that usually peak in mid October. Nearby loblolly pine and eastern red cedar drop sharp needles and pine cones into roof channels. In winter, freezing nights bring real risks of ice dams forming inside clogged metal channels when trapped water expands. To prevent roof leaks and structural damage, we recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, clearing away packed leaves and stubborn needles before seasonal severe weather hits Kentucky.
