When Ozark gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf white oak, hickory, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, drop heavy material onto roof surfaces. Spring pollen and falling sweetgum pods fill gutters early in the year, while leaf drop usually peaks in early November. Freezing nights happen in Ozark, though snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out fallen leaves, pine needles, and acorns before heavy Southern rains wash debris into the downspouts and block the entire system.
