When Opp gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and debris into Opp gutters throughout every season. Broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and red maple drop heavy leaves, while loblolly pine needles and eastern red cedar debris combine with sticky spring pollen and acorns to block downspouts. Leaf drop usually peaks in early November, filling roof channels before winter. While freezing nights happen here, ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear wet pine needles and foliage before seasonal decay sets in.
