When Morrow gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris into channels all year long. Loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine cast sharp pine needles down every month, while broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop yellow pollen in spring, heavy sweetgum balls, acorns, and broad leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in early November. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. However, trapped water can still freeze inside packed debris and strain roof fasteners. We recommend professional gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect your Morrow home from sudden overflowing roof water.
