When McDonough gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine, drop materials continuously. Needles fall all year long, while spring brings heavy yellow pollen. Sweetgum balls and acorns drop into drainage channels, followed by live oak foliage drops, with general leaf drop usually peaking in early November. Freezing nights happen in McDonough, but snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear seasonal debris buildup and maintain proper roof drainage across every season in Georgia.
