When London gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, including broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, continuously drop organic debris into local gutters. Spring pollen and seed pods collect in the channels, while leaf drop usually peaks in late October, bringing a surge of dry foliage and acorns. Regional winter weather brings freezing nights and likely snow, which turns trapped damp debris into solid ice blocks that weigh down the roof edge. To prevent blocked downspouts, we recommend scheduling a full gutter cleaning service at least twice a year, during spring and fall.
