When Hartselle gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as sweetgum, tulip poplar, broadleaf white oak, red maple, hickory, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, regularly drop materials onto nearby homes. Spring brings heavy pollen, while sweetgum balls, acorns, and pine needles land on roofs throughout the summer. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October, packing roof channels tight. Winter brings freezing nights to Hartselle, though snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue. Trapped moisture can still freeze inside packed troughs and stress the fascia. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to maintain continuous drainage.
