When Greenville gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris into Greenville roof gutters throughout every season. Broadleaf species like white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and red maple drop leaves and acorns, with leaf drop usually peaking in early November. Conifers like loblolly pine and eastern red cedar dump sticky pine needles into gutters year-round, while spring brings thick coats of yellow pollen packings. Freezing nights happen in local winter months, but ice dams are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend residential gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out fallen pine needles and heavy fall leaves before rain backs up.
