When Dacula gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including loblolly pine, water oak, sweetgum, and red maple, shed material constantly. Yellow pollen covers roofs in spring, pine needles fall throughout the year, and spiky sweetgum balls drop into open channels. Broadleaf oak leaves drop heavily in late October. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams are not an issue and snow is rare. Wet needles and leaves pack tight inside the channels, blocking water flow before major rainstorms. We recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to protect your roof from overflow and rot.
