When Zimmerman gutters fill up
Tree species common in this region, such as bur oak, silver maple, cottonwood, green ash, hackberry, eastern red cedar, and ponderosa pine, bring heavy seasonal waste. Spring brings floating cottonwood fluff and ash seeds, while general wind events push grit into the gutter channels. Fall brings massive amounts of fallen leaves, with peak leaf drop usually occurring in early October. Cold Minnesota winters bring freezing nights, snow, and ice dams in gutters, which lock moisture against the roof edge. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. A full gutter cleaning before winter removes heavy matter, allowing melting snow to drain properly.
