When Woodlake gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region drop debris into channels throughout the year in Woodlake, Virginia. Loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine shed pine needles continuously, while sweetgum trees drop firm sweetgum balls. Yellow pollen arrives each spring, followed by leaf drop from water oak, red maple, southern magnolia, and broadleaf live oak, along with acorns. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely in winter, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect your property from sudden overflows during heavy seasonal rains.
