When Wilkins gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as broadleaf red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, drop a massive volume of organic waste. Oak catkins fall in spring, while acorns, spiky sweetgum balls, pine needles, and heavy fall leaves drop late in the year. Winter brings freezing nights and snow, creating severe ice dams in gutters if trapped water cannot drain. We recommend scheduling a full gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. A spring check clears out flower droppings, while a fall service removes thick broadleaf litter before snow arrives to freeze blocked downspouts.
