When Wildwood gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine, drop debris over the house throughout the year. Pine needles drop constantly, sweetgum balls roll down the roof pitched surfaces, and yellow pollen covers the roof in spring, followed by live oak leaf shedding and acorns. Freezing nights are rare in Wildwood, so ice dams in gutters are not an issue. However, rainy storms easily overwhelm clogged systems. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, in spring and fall, to keep water moving through every downspout.
