When Whitemarsh gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, drop heavy natural matter. Oak catkins fill gutters each spring, while mid October usually brings peak fall leaf drop along with acorns and spiky sweetgum balls. Whitemarsh winters bring likely snow and freezing nights, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Still, frozen slush inside a clogged gutter adds severe weight against the roof edge. We recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out organic debris before freeze cycles set in and cause lasting damage to the property.
