When West Orange gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop a variety of heavy materials into local gutter channels throughout the year. Broadleaf red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, and sweetgum shed fallen leaves, acorns, spiky sweetgum balls, and spring oak catkins, while eastern white pine drops needle debris. In West Orange, freezing nights happen and snow is likely, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue. Trapped moisture can freeze inside a blocked system, stressing fasteners along the roof edge. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep water flowing freely away from your fascia before winter conditions arrive.
