When Waxhaw gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, and loblolly pine, release debris across Waxhaw during different months. Spring brings a thick coating of yellow pollen along with early sweetgum balls. Pine needles fall steadily all year, while broadleaf foliage drops heavily around late October. Although freezing nights happen in Waxhaw, ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. Rain showers still drop heavy water during late fall and winter storms. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to stop water buildup and preserve roof edge systems through changing weather.
