When Villas gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop distinct types of debris throughout the changing seasons. Spring brings messy oak catkins that clump inside every open gutter channel, while fall introduces heavy fallen leaves, hard acorns, spiky sweetgum balls, and needle drops from eastern white pine trees. In Villas, leaf drop usually peaks in mid October. Although freezing nights happen during winter, snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. However, clogged downspouts can easily freeze solid on cold nights. We recommend a complete gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep your roof drainage system clear and functional year round.
