When Verona gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, such as broadleaf sugar maple, red maple, bur oak, hickory, American elm, white pine, and spruce, scatter heavy material across roofs. Leaves, maple seed wings, acorns, and pine needles accumulate rapidly, with leaf drop usually peaking in early October. Winter brings freezing nights, heavy snow, and the risk of ice dams forming inside clogged channels. Trapped water freezes, expands, and pushes gutter edges away from the fascia. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, once in spring to clear seeds and twigs, and once in fall after leaves drop, to protect your Verona roof before winter freezing begins.
