When Upper Yoder gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, drop a steady stream of material throughout the year. Spring brings oak catkins, while fall brings broadleaf foliage, acorns, and spiky sweetgum balls. In Upper Yoder, freezing nights happen, snow is likely, and ice dams in gutters are a real winter problem when trapped water freezes near the eaves. Blocked downspouts trap melting snow, worsening winter ice issues along the roof edge. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels clear before freezing weather sets in and before spring rains begin.
