When Upper Nazareth gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop specific debris into Upper Nazareth homes throughout the year. Red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, and sweetgum shed broad leaves, heavy acorns, and spiky sweetgum balls. Meanwhile, eastern white pine needles and spring oak catkins quickly collect inside water channels. Freezing nights happen here, and snow is likely during cold winter months, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue. When frozen debris gathers inside channels, trapped water expands against the roof structure. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to manage heavy spring seed drops and mid October leaf accumulation, keeping water flowing freely off the roof year-round.
