When Trumbull Center gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris onto home roof surfaces throughout the year in Trumbull Center. Broadleaf sugar maple, red maple, American beech, white birch, and northern red oak drop heavy leaves, while eastern white pine and eastern hemlock shed needles. Spring brings maple seed wings, and acorns drop later in the year. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, spreading a heavy carpet across every local gutter system. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely in Connecticut, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear seasonal blockage.
