When Spring gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, pecan, cedar elm, crape myrtle, post oak, loblolly pine, and ashe juniper, create year-round debris issues. Live oaks shed their foliage during spring rather than fall, while oak catkins and juniper pollen clog gutter troughs early in the year. In winter, freezing nights are rare, ice dams in gutters are not an issue, and snow is rare in Spring, Texas. However, heavy rains are common throughout every season. We recommend scheduling a gutter cleaning service at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to prevent deep blockages and protect your roof line from standing water.
