When Southern Pines gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including longleaf pine, loblolly pine, water oak, and sweetgum, constantly shed material onto every nearby roof in Southern Pines. Pine needles drop all year long, while yellow pollen covers surfaces in spring, followed by sweetgum balls, acorns, and live oak leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October across North Carolina. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. Fine pine needles settle deep into the gutter channel, packing tightly around the downspout openings. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep your residential system open and fully functional.
