When Silver Hill gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region drop debris into channels during every season. Pines release needles continuously, while red maple, sweetgum, and oaks drop pollen, sweetgum balls, and heavy leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, filling roofline channels right before winter sets in. Freezing nights happen here, and snow is likely. When snow melts into clogged channels, trapped water freezes into solid ice blocks that stress fasteners and fascia. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. A spring gutter cleaning clears out spring pollen and seed debris, while a fall gutter cleaning removes fall leaves before freezing winter temperatures arrive.
