When Sharon gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as broadleaf sugar maple, red maple, American beech, white birch, northern red oak, eastern white pine, and eastern hemlock, drop heavy materials into local gutter systems. Spring brings maple seed wings, while fall delivers acorns and a dense carpet of leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October. In Sharon, freezing winter nights are frequent, making ice dams in gutters a serious concern when trapped water freezes near roof edges. Snow melt cannot drain properly through blocked paths. We recommend scheduling a gutter cleaning visit at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to keep channels clear before severe weather hits Massachusetts.
