When Seffner gutters fill up
Several trees common in the region drop leaves and seed pods throughout the year. Broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia lose leaves and debris, while sweetgum balls and acorns collect along the roof edge. Conifers like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine shed pine needles into gutters during every season, and spring brings dense yellow pollen that bakes into sticky sludge. Because freezing nights are rare and ice dams do not form here, heavy rain remains the main hazard. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to prevent full downspout blockages before major rainstorms hit Seffner.
