When Ruston gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region drop debris across Ruston throughout the year. Broadleaf live oak trees lose their leaves during spring, while pecan trees and post oaks drop catkins and nut husks. Loblolly pine needles and eastern red cedar pollen land on roof slopes in winter. Broadleaf foliage drop usually peaks in early November. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. Rain fall patterns require clear channels to avoid soil washouts. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels clear of seasonal heavy dirt and pine straw buildup.
