When Rosendale gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and debris into gutters throughout the year. Broadleaf trees like red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, and sweetgum shed broad leaves, acorns, and spiky sweetgum balls. Eastern white pine needles also clog narrow downspouts. Spring brings oak catkins that block downspout openings, while fall brings heavy foliage that packs rain gutters tight. Because freezing nights happen and ice dams in gutters are a real winter problem, trapped water expands and pulls gutter systems away from the home. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear gutter systems before snow arrives.
