When Pasadena gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, pecan, cedar elm, crape myrtle, post oak, loblolly pine, and ashe juniper, drop heavy matter throughout the year. Live oaks shed leaves in early spring rather than fall, while oak catkins, pecan shells, and winter juniper pollen steadily accumulate inside the gutters. Freezing nights are rare, ice dams in gutters are not an issue, and snow is rare in Pasadena. However, heavy rains occur in every season. We recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to prevent dense regional foliage and pine needles from blocking water movement.
