When Palatka gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop heavy waste into Palatka gutters throughout the year. Pines like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine drop pine needles continuously. Broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia shed leaves, sweetgum balls, and acorns. Yellow pollen coats roofs in spring, while live oak leaf drop fills gutters fast. Freezing nights are rare here, so ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. Rain falls heavily during warm months, making routine work critical. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to manage debris.
