When Odessa gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris across Odessa throughout every month of the year. Broadleaf live oak trees drop old leaves during spring rather than fall, releasing oak catkins alongside winter juniper pollen. Pecan trees drop hard shells, while cedar elm, crape myrtle, post oak, and loblolly pine shedding adds organic waste. General leaf drop usually peaks in early November, filling roof gutters before winter arrives. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out seasonal clogging and protect residential gutter systems from sudden storms.
