When Newberry gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine, constantly drop materials onto roofs. Pine needles land in gutters all year, joined by bright yellow pollen in spring, sweetgum balls, and acorns. Live oak leaves drop steadily, while overall leaf drop usually peaks in late October across Newberry. Freezing nights happen here, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out heavy seasonal buildup and prevent downspout clogs.
