When Mullica gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region include broadleaf red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine. In spring, oak catkins drop directly onto roof surfaces and form heavy mats inside drainage troughs. Spiky sweetgum balls, acorns, and broad leaves accumulate throughout early fall, with leaf drop usually peaking in mid October. Winter brings likely snow along with freezing nights, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Trapped slush and frozen leaves still weigh down aluminum channels and cause long-term gutter damage if neglected. We recommend scheduling a detailed gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to protect your property year-round.
