When Mission Bend gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and debris into Mission Bend channels throughout different months. Broadleaf live oak trees drop old foliage in early spring rather than fall, while oak catkins and cedar elm seeds drop quickly. Pecan shells, crape myrtle blossoms, and winter juniper pollen also fill gutters. Freezing nights are rare and ice dams are not an issue here, but heavy Gulf humidity keeps damp debris rotting in the channel. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to manage these shifting regional drops. Regular maintenance keeps downspout lines open before heavy spring downpours hit your property.
