When Miramar Beach gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia, constantly drop debris onto local homes. Conifers such as loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine cast heavy pine needles into gutter channels all year long. Spring brings thick yellow pollen and live oak leaf drop, while sweetgum balls and acorns descend during fall. Freezing nights are rare in Miramar Beach, so ice dams in gutters are not an issue. However, persistent rain makes standing water dangerous. We recommend a complete gutter cleaning at least twice a year, in spring and fall, to keep water moving properly.
