When Millcreek gutters fill up
Trees around Millcreek drop heavy loads of leaves, needles, and seeds directly onto residential roofs. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, filling open gutters right before winter arrives. Freezing nights happen throughout the cold months, and snow is likely to accumulate across Utah. While ice dams in gutters are not an issue here, trapped water that freezes inside a clogged downspout or gutter can split seams and pull sections away from the fascia. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. A thorough spring cleaning removes early seeds, while fall service clears out heavy foliage before snow falls.
