When Mexia gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as live oak, pecan, cedar elm, crape myrtle, post oak, loblolly pine, and ashe juniper, create distinct clearing challenges throughout the year. Live oaks drop heavy foliage during spring rather than fall, while oak catkins and pecan shells collect in roof channels. Ashe juniper pollen settles in winter, and leaf drop usually peaks in early November across Texas. Although freezing nights happen in Mexia, snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to clear dropped foliage and maintain open channels before heavy seasonal rains hit your residential property.
