When Medina gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, including bur oak, silver maple, cottonwood, green ash, hackberry, eastern red cedar, and ponderosa pine, drop continuous debris onto Medina roofs. Spring brings airborne cottonwood fluff, ash seeds, windborne grit, and dust, while leaf drop usually peaks in early October, filling channels before winter arrives. Freezing nights, heavy snow, and winter ice dams in gutters create serious freeze-thaw problems if trapped water cannot drain off the roof properly. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep downspouts open and protect your home before icy weather sets in across Minnesota.
