When Medfield gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including sugar maple, red maple, white birch, northern red oak, and eastern white pine, drop constant debris into local gutters. Maple seed wings fall during spring, followed by acorns and needle drops in late summer. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October, filling channels with heavy foliage. Freezing winter nights quickly turn trapped water into solid ice, creating ice dams that pull gutters away from the roofline. To protect residential properties from weight stress and heavy leaks, we recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, once in the spring and once during the fall.
