When McKenzie gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, drop heavy material year-round. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October, dropping tons of foliage onto roof surfaces across McKenzie. Spring brings thick tree pollen and seed pods that mix with dirt to form concrete-like blockages. Winter brings freezing nights where snow is likely, causing lingering moisture in a clogged gutter to freeze solid, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to maintain continuous drainage and protect rooflines from seasonal decay.
