When Mauldin gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris into channels year-round. Loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine shed sharp pine needles through every season, while yellow pollen coats roofs each spring. Broadleaf live oak drop leaves in late spring, and red maple, sweetgum, and water oak drop leaves that usually peak in late October. Sweetgum balls and acorns fall quickly during fall storms, packing tightly into outlets. While freezing nights happen in Mauldin, snow is rare and ice dams are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out heavy seed drop and seasonal leaves before winter cold sets in.
