When Marshall gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, such as red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, drop a wide variety of materials. Spring brings oak catkins that cling to metal edges, while fall delivers acorns, spiky sweetgum balls, and heavy fallen leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, quickly filling up every gutter channel. Winter brings snow, freezing nights, and ice dams in gutters, which lock moisture along the roof edge and cause severe strain. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to prevent winter ice formation and clear out seasonal pine needles and heavy fall debris before cold weather sets in.
