Conditional Debris and Drainage Issues
Blockages generally develop when seasonal wind and overhead trees drop organic matter into drainage systems. Drainage flow can quickly diminish when certain conditions arise on a property:
- Fallen leaves and pine needles gather along troughs and form heavy mats.
- Small twigs and airborne seeds settle inside upper downspout openings.
- Decomposed organic sludge accumulates along level gutter runs and slows water transit.
- Windblown dust and roof grit create dense dams at joint corners.
