When Mango gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including longleaf pine, slash pine, broadleaf live oak, and sweetgum, drop debris into gutters during distinct months. Pines drop needles into gutter channels all year long, while live oaks shed leaves and sweetgum trees drop hard balls that jam downspouts. Spring pollen covers entire roof slopes, mixing with downpours to form a dense paste inside the gutter bottom. Freeze periods and ice dams do not affect Mango, Florida homes, but tropical rain requires maximum drainage capacity. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear seasonal drop before heavy weather hits the Florida peninsula.
